Who picks up the trash in St. Landry Parish?

Bayou State Waste is the current residential waste collection provider. 

How can I get a trash can at my residence?

Call Bayou State Waste at (337)290-1456 and request the trash can.

Where is the Landfill located?

The landfill is located at 417 Solid Waste Road in Washington, LA 70589.

Headed north on I-49 take the Lebeau Exit(#27) past the Washington and Ville Platte Exit. At the bottom of the ramp take a right on Hwy 10 and about 2.5 miles down take a left onto Hwy 182, (there will be a "St. Landry Sanitary Landfill Sign). Immediately after taking the left you should see a bridge, take the left onto the bridge which take you straight to the landfill.

Who can bring waste to the Landfill?

The St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District Landfill is for St. Landry Parish residents ONLY

What are the hours of operation at the Landfill

The St. Landry Parish Landfill hours are:

Monday-Friday 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Saturday 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The landfill is closed on Sundays.
